Updates

Hi guys!

I've been really working hard on writing and preparing for my record. We're in the process of picking through hundreds of tracks to find the ones we want to toy with. Very exciting times! We'll be in the studio shortly, and then I'll have sound clips and songs posted for you to hear!

I've been playing around Northwest Arkansas a lot. Tons of coffee houses, bars and so on. I love the good times we have when I play for my fans!

Finishing Records 08

It was almost done. Only two songs remained. I wanted them on the project so bad and had always invisioned it.

At the same time, I had been wanting it to contain 8 songs. And then... I caught a break. I was having a great day. I finished one song - the eighth one as a matter of fact - and the project just felt done.

My conflict was resolved. The unfinished ninth and tenth song would be on Records 09, making that project start with the ninth song. It will be a live project. It can include new material, too; but mainly it will marry my recording to my live performances... teaching me many lessons, no doubt.

Well, I haven't been on here in awhile, but it sure don't mean there is nothing music realated going on. I mean, come on... think about it. This is a computer, man. And I can't come here and sit eveyday and write about loving on my instruments, because, although this is an instrument, it's not one of those that sound pretty. Rackety-tak-tak is what I hear right now.

But I will try try try to get posts up more often. I love 'em and so do you!

Tonight at Arsaga's

Hey friends!

I just found twenty bucks. Nobody wants to claim it. Should I? Why yes... I think I should. Buy myself a coffee and get down to buisness. I'll be playing a short set at Arsaga's on Gregg St. tonight, alongside some friends. Maybe I'll sing too fast. On second thought, let me just pass this money on down. Surely I can split it twenty ways till Sunday. By Monday I'll have the feel again, guitar in hand.

In other news...you should hear the new song. "Undone" is not finished yet. Seems fitting. I'd better get upstairs and smile about it. It's making my head rattle. I think it needs a tamborine. Then, cut it and pass it on down 'till Monday...

Just got invited to play at a benefit concert at the University of Arkansas in July. Not sure of the details, but you'll be the second to know when they're available!

I need to add a show calendar on here, but I'm not quite sure how. Suggestions appreciated!

Recording

Hey friends,

Been trying to record a song... only a few weeks old. Just not feeling it anymore. They have to be laid down fresh. It's called "A Reason", but oddly enough I've lost mine for recording it.

"I've got a reason to love you.
You've never been the one to love me.
But I'm still the lucky one with a reason."

I guess you can only offer so much of yourself. That much is all you have.
